What's Your Beach Style - Gulf Coast Edition

This is my personal favorite beach style. The Gulf Coast spans five states, but Florida and it's sugar, white sand and emerald green water has a special place in my heart. 

My family has been spending time here in the summer for ten years. We specifically love Carillon Beach but there are dozens of communities along 30-A, each with it's own personality. These pictures make everything look glamorous and perfect, but the area is also known as "the Redneck Rivera." Go figure, there is something for everyone. If you were wondering, we leave in three weeks!

It's hard to believe that another wonderful trip to the beach has come and gone. We all had a fantastic week full of sandcastles, raft surfing, swimming, beach bocce ball (carnival style - our new game), bike riding, fishing, golf cart cruising and family togetherness. Mumsie, Popie, Uncle G and Aunt Holli had plenty of patience for the mini-pearls and we made some great memories. It all just goes by too fast!

Mumsie (my mom) and Sport Cort and myself drove around Carillon one evening in the golf cart and took pictures of some of our favorite beach houses. Sport Cort really got into it and was trying to set-up each picture to best show-off the house! Do I see a career in his future? Anywho, we started to run out of light, and as I am not a photographer, these are not the best images, but I hope you will be able to overlook that and enjoy a little tour of our corner of paradise!

All of the homes in Carillon have fun names. We stay in Caribbean Dreaming. A few of our other favorite names are: Barefoot Bungalow, Grits Carleton, Lion in the Sand, Sandcastle Dreams, Au Naturale, Bikini Bottoms, Sweet Serenade, Dream Catcher, Hangin Out and the mini-pearls' fave - Rock Lobster with a guest cottage named Love Shack! There is also Carolina Girl, Four SeaSons, Paradise Found, Captains Quarters, Totally Nuts, Sunny Days, Dolphin Smiles, Cruise Control- they are all so fun! So, here it goes...
