Paris ( and London) in Spring

I never claim to be the most prompt person on the planet and this just proves it. Sweet Pea went to Paris for Spring Break with my mother-in-law and I am just now getting around to downloading and organizing  her pictures. Bless her heart, she has been so patient with me. I wanted to share some of the highlights with you. What an amazing time they had! They were able to get away for one day, and head across the channel to London. My girl loved London! I guess it is in her genes. Paris was fun, too. Sweet Pea was thrilled by the Eiffel Tower (an item on her ten year old bucket list - check), she loved all the churches (her words), Parisian hot chocolate scored big with her but macaroons did not. She purchased a green beret and came home wearing a very grown-up scarf tied around her neck. Yes, Paris (and London) in Spring are wonderful!

Sweet Pea took a lot of pictures of food - this was her favorite hot chocolate

This was her "Look Mom, I am in London and you're not!"

Summer Pink and Green

We have had a cozy, rainy couple of days here. (That is rare in Texas!) I have been snuggled-up with the minis, so what I had planned to post will have to wait. Being lazy with my kids was too much fun! Today though, the sun is out and everything is so fresh and green outside; a beautiful, summer day. Nothing says summer like pink and green, so here are some lovely pics for a lovely day. Hope yours is sunny!

Lovely Letters

I have been collecting letters for several years now. I love the graphic punch a discarded letter from old signage can make in a room. I use the letters alone and in groups. I also love the impact that a carefully chosen word can have when used as art. Here are a few pictures that I found that portray my thoughts.

Summer has settled-in around here. The echoes of "I'm bored!" Can be heard throughout our home. Yes, it is summer. My ingenious mom gave me a wonderful suggestion to out an end to the relentless whining; a chore jar. Whenever one of my adorable, yet overly dramatic and vocal offspring utters those two words, they can choose a chore from the chore jar. Yes, guess what I am doing tomorrow? I have some silver that needs polishing.

Large and in-charge - love the light fixtures, too!

 Love this small kitchen

Sweet Pea has these pillows in her room - awesome

I'm not one for wall decals but this is the perfect pop in this clean space

 How cool is this?
