Seeing Stripes

I have been trying to relax this summer and put all the house projects on hold, but I can't stand it any longer. I need a project! I have the urge to paint something and I have an unadorned hallway that is calling my name. I am thinking...stripes. This may not ever be executed, but it is fun to think about and would really look fabulous in the hall, outside my boys' rooms. 

Thoughts? Are you a "stripes on the wall" person or not?

A Case of Stripes

What is it about stripes? I love the crisp, classic accents in each of these rooms. I love stripes of all colors, these just happen to be black and white. Stripes give a nod to the nautical, as well, and that makes me think of summer! Summer. Yes, it's almost here. I have two and a half weeks before the minis are out of school and it's officially here. I guess I had better finish filling-out all of those camp forms!
